The Mississippi State Equestrian Team is unlike most collegiate equestrian teams in that it is completely self-funded. The team does not receive monetary support for their activities. Horses and horse showing is not an expense that most college-age students can afford but the Team makes every effort to cover the costs for each rider that participates. Costs include travel, lodging, and entry fees. The team also provides horses, lessons, and riding equipment - free of charge - so that students are not burden with the task of paying for horse ownership, lesson costs, or tack costs.
Each individual on this team has proven their dedication and willingness to improve their skills while maintaining excellent grades, participating in volunteer activities, taking active roles in research projects, and so much more. Your contribution to the Equestrian Team would allow for the Team to continue to grow and thrive. Take the reins and go on this journey with us!
